Riding Near Meadow – Riding For Fun

When I was a child living in rural England, near York, horse riding was a popular pastime among the young and old. Riding a horse was so much more relaxing than running or even walking. Riding on a gentle and cool trail with the wind blowing lightly was just about perfect for all of us kids. We used to gather for a long afternoon on our way to picnics along the stream or moorland.

First Ride To Trails

I can still remember the day that my grandmother and I took a ride on one of these trails. This was back in the 70’s, not too long before I was born. My grandmother and I were introduced to this exciting pastime when my father decided to take up horse riding as a hobby. Although he was not exactly passionate about it, he found it to be an excellent workout and a wonderful way to get away from the stresses of daily life.

Luckily for me, I had the foresight that it was a great sport to get into. I spent a lot of time as a child looking forward to a day on a horse, being followed by my friends and family. It was a special occasion each time, an opportunity to have some fun and make new memories with my loved ones. Of course, horse riding near the meadow became one of those special occasions.

I have been married for 36 years now and am always eager to go on a nice, relaxing horse riding near meadow. The countryside and all of its rustic beauty is mesmerizing, especially at sunset. The area that my husband and I love the most is our property in Leicestershire. We have spent many happy years enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside, near the River Nene and the exquisite rolling hills that run along it.

So imagine how much we enjoyed it when we decided to get married there. For me, it brought back memories of my childhood days. It was such a calming atmosphere, surrounded by rolling hills and fields of corn and oats. Just to let you know, there are also lots of wildlife up for grabs on a lovely Saturday morning; and there is always the chance of an unexpected guest during the week, too!
